Gibraltar Post & Go overprints released to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day

The Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau Ltd is proud to announce that a special overprint will be issued on the 8th May 2020 commemorating the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. The overprint on the Gibraltar flag will be vended in the DKU Unit located in the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau head office and will read ‘VE Day 75th’.

Gibraltar Post at 89th Scottish Congress

 Gibraltar Post & Go at the 89th Scottish Congress:

The GI01 kiosk will be attending the 89th Scottish Congress in Perth. The Royal Gibraltar Post Office will be taking this opportunity to release a new “CCPA” (Conference of Commonwealth Postal Administrations) stamp as well as vending the current “Year of the Dog” issue with an overprint which will read “89th Scottish Congress 2018” .

CCPA is an association of the Commonwealth’s Post Offices and its primary aim is to enhance the quality, the range and the accessibility of Postal Services within the Commonwealth through the free sharing, amongst its membership, of expertise and industry best practice. In October 2017, the CEO of the Royal Gibraltar Post Office was elected Chairman of the CCPA, receiving 60% of the votes. This new stamp commemorates Gibraltar’s achievement this year in representing 65 different postal administrations worldwide.

New “Year of the Dog” design & Masonic stamps with Valentine’s Day overprint for GI01 during Stampex.

The Royal Gibraltar Post Office will once again commemorate the Chinese New Year by launching a new design at Stampex with the next animal in the series; “Year of the Dog”. Ranking as the eleventh animal in Chinese zodiac, Dog is the symbol of loyalty and honesty. People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They are honest, friendly, faithful, loyal, smart, straightforward, venerable and have a strong sense of responsibility.

In order to celebrate Valentine’s Day, GI01 will also vend the current Masonic stamps which will include a “Happy Valentine’s –Spring Stampex 2018” overprint with heart graphics between the 14th – 17th February only.


Gibraltar Post wishes you Season’s Greetings.

On Wednesday 2nd November, the Royal Gibraltar Post Office will be adding a “Season’s Greetings” underprint in order to celebrate the festive season. The underprint will be applied to GI02 & GI03 only. On the same day, the local monkey stamp will be replaced by the Christmas Tree stamp until 9th January 2017 for both kiosks in Gibraltar only.
